New Years Resolutions – 1 month on….

Hi everyone!

Sorry it has been a while since I’ve done a post. I’ve been really busy with work this month and then this week I wasn’t well! Struck down with a stomach bug! I thought I might have a bit of time to write a blog post but I really wasn’t feeling up to it. I’m coming around now and thought I would write a blog post to fill you in on my new years resolutions.

So in January everyone is great at setting goals for the year and the motivation lasts a week or two and then it gets forgotten about. Since it is the first week of February I thought it was a good time to check in and let you know how I am getting on with my new years resolutions.

The first new years resolution I made was to join a gym and go at least twice a week. I am happy to say that I have stuck to this new years resolution with the exception of this week as I haven’t been well. A part from this week though I have been going about 3 times a week so I am delighted with that. I really want to get back into shape and improve my fitness by the Summer time. I have been a member of a gym on and off for I don’t know how long so I am determined to keep going this time.

The second resolution I made was trying to eat healthier. I would say that my diet isn’t that bad but I definitely could be sticking to this resolution a lot more than I am at the moment so this is a work in progress. I’m going to try and continue this one as I know it will take a while to get into a routine. I will check in with an update on this in a while.

The third new years resolution I made was to get involved in some sort of charity or do something to help others. I am still in the middle of organising this but I am planning on helping with the soup runs in Dublin in the next couple of months so I will let you know how I get on with that. I think it is really important to give back if we can. Also getting involved in something like a soup run really makes you appreciate what you have and also makes you aware of the the more unfortunate people around us. It is important to remember them and help them in what ever way as we can.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and that it reminded you to keep up your new years resolutions or to start them back up again!

thanks for reading,
